Other volunteer positions available

Vet Nurse
Cat Rescue is needing voluntary vet nurses who are available to give medical advice to our volunteer fosterers looking after our cats, and possibly making home visits to check on the health of cats in fosterers homes. You would be working with our Head Vet Nurse, Kay Kelly. Hours vary, but the job would be more involved in kitten season from Nov-May and quieter for the rest of the year.

Campaigners

Cat Rescue was also set up to promote desexing and early desexing (desexing of kittens 8-12 weeks of age and before adoption) and wishes to recruit volunteers willing to approach vets, pet shops and shelters/rescue organisations to encourage them to desex all cats and kittens before adoption. Also to campaign on desexing in general to encourage people to desex their cats before they breed, and promoting Trap-Neuter-Return to other organisations and councils as an alternative to the usual trap and kill approach.
