Sponsor a Cat
Can't have your own cat due to health, cost and/or housing? Don't like the impersonal feel of just donating? Would you like to donate a little bit, often? Then you may be interested in sponsoring one of our long-term foster cats!
We have special cats in our care that unfortunately have not yet been able to find their forever homes.
These cats need their basic daily needs covered, as well as the occasional vet visit, and sometimes everyday medical needs attended to.
We're looking for donors willing to sponsor these cats, and contribute as much or as little as possible. Every bit helps to keep these guys waiting in our care for their forever home.
If you sponsor a cat you will receive a Christmas card from your sponsor cat, updates on how your sponsor cat is doing, and the great feeling of knowing you're helping a cat that really needs it.
Please contact us if you would like to know more.
Sponsor A Kitten In Foster Care
If long term sponsorship is not for you then another option is to sponsor a kitten. Sponsoring a kitten helps Cat Rescue with the costs of getting one of our rescue kittens ready for adoption. All of our rescue kittens are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated before adoption. On top of this there are the costs of food, litter and often vet visits!
Although we can recover some of our costs back with adoption donations it very rarely covers all the costs that Cat Rescue has spent on the kittens.
If you are interested in helping with a one time or a regular donation to Sponsor a Kitten, please contact us.
Sponsor A Desexing
You can help Cat Rescue help stray cats by "Sponsoring a desexing". Cat Rescue Christchurch advocates the trap-neuter-return (TNR) method of caring for and help reduce the population of stray cats. It costs Cat Rescue $65 per cat we get desexed our monthly vet bills average out to be over $6000 a month! Can hit over $8000 in kitten season! If you are interested in sponsoring a desexing please contact us.
